Whole Food out of Met project

Example of an American grocery store aisle.Image via WikipediaWhole Foods has pulled the plug on plans to open a grocery store at the Met Miami project in the city’s downtown, but the developer hopes to fill the vacancy with another supermarket in the future.
Changes in the construction schedule at the mixed-use project – which includes offices, condos and a hotel – figured into the decision, said Russ Benblatt, Whole Foods’ regional marketing director for Florida.

Berenfeld Spritzer Expands

City of Fort LauderdaleImage via Wikipedia"A 35-year-old accounting and tax consulting firm has opened a third South Florida office, this one in the downtown Las Olas business district of Fort Lauderdale.

Berenfeld, Spritzer, Shechter & Sheer said it now employs more than 130 employees in three locations. The other two are its Coral Gables headquarters and Sunrise.

Though it has hired some staff for the new location and additional staff for the established locations, Walter 'Butch' Gelnovatch, BSS&S managing partner, said the firm still is vigorously recruiting."
